Sixth Grade with Mrs. Koski....

Greetings from sixth grade!  Another wonderful year of learning has begun!  I am so excited to be in sixth grade once again.  Thank you for trusting me with your amazing children!

Although I graduated from another local high school, I am a wife and mother of several Cherry School graduates.  My husband and our three children attended all of their K-12th grade schooling at the Cherry School!  We have something special here and I am proud to be a part of it!

When I was young, I wanted to be a pediatrician.  One college science class helped me change my mind. smiley  I knew I wanted to help children, so I decided to become an elementary teacher!  It has been one of the most rewarding and at times, challenging things I have ever done.  I love teaching children and helping them to develop skills that can take them anywhere!  I am licensed to teach Kindergarten - 6th grade.  I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from Bemidji State University.  I also have a  Master of Arts in Literacy Education and an Autism Spectrum Disorders certificate through Hamline University.  I do love to learn...especially when what I am learning can help kids!

When I am not teaching or working on cabin renovations, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, fishing, snowmobiling, watching sunsets, chatting with friends, reading, and watching movies.
